PADI Open Water+Advance Open Water Diver Course

The PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course enhances your diving skills and provides an enjoyable adventure, making it accessible even if you’re not already considered “Advanced” in proficiency. After attaining the PADI Open Water Diver certification, you can seamlessly transition into this course, where you will bolster your confidence and broaden your scuba capabilities through a series of Adventure Dives.

Exploring Adventure Dives

Under the guidance of a PADI Instructor, you will explore various specialties, log dives, and cultivate expertise, discovering new dimensions of enjoyment in scuba diving. Each Adventure Dive undertaken may contribute towards the initial dive of a corresponding PADI Specialty Diver Course. If you have previously completed a specialty diver course before the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course, you can also receive credit for an Adventure Dive. Aspiring (Junior) Open Water Divers, aged 12 and above, are eligible to enroll in the Advanced Open Water Diver course, with certain Adventure Dives tailored for young divers.

Certification Pathways

Upon completion of three Adventure Dives, you can attain certification as a PADI Adventure Diver, achievable in just one day. However, for those with an additional two days to spare, continuing with two more Adventure Dives will lead to the coveted PADI Advanced Open Water Diver certification. Notably, two mandatory dives—Deep and Underwater Navigation—must be included in your Adventure Dives to qualify for the PADI Advanced Open Water certification.

Deep and Underwater Navigation Dives

The Deep Adventure Dive instructs you on planning dives to manage the physiological effects and challenges of deeper scuba exploration. Simultaneously, the Underwater Navigation Adventure Dive hones your compass navigation skills, refining your ability to navigate using kick-cycles, visual landmarks, and time.

Tailoring Your Experience

Additional knowledge and skills acquired during the course vary based on individual interests and chosen adventures, such as photography, buoyancy control, fish identification, and wreck exploration. Engage in discussion with your PADI Instructor to tailor the course to include adventure dives that align with your preferences.
