To qualify for enrollment in the Tec 50 course, candidates must meet the following prerequisites:

Hold the PADI Tec 45 diver certification.
Accumulate a minimum of 100 logged dives, including 20 dives on enriched air nitrox beyond the depth of 18 meters/60 feet and 15 dives exceeding 30 meters/100 feet.
Be at least 18 years old.
Present a Medical Statement signed by a licensed physician within the preceding 12 months.
